    Recently, a key new energy storage project in Hebei Province—the 300MW/600MWh shared energy storage power station in Gaoyi County, Shijiazhuang—has successfully completed full-capacity delivery of its energy storage system. This milestone marks the project’s entry into the critical pre-commissioning phase, setting the stage for imminent operation.

    The project is powered by Zhiguang Energy Storage’s self-developed cascaded high-voltage, large-capacity energy storage system. With its highly efficient and stable performance, along with strong scalability advantages, the project stands as a benchmark for large-scale deployment of next-generation energy storage in the region. It injects strong green momentum into Hebei’s efforts to accelerate the construction of a new-type power system, enhance renewable energy integration capacity, and strengthen grid security and stability.


    Project Overview: Provincial Key Project Addressing Grid Flexibility Gaps in Central-Southern Hebei

    Located in Fucun Town, Gaoyi County, the 300MW/600MWh shared energy storage power station is a core project supporting Shijiazhuang’s vision of building a resilient and intelligent power grid while advancing green and low-carbon energy transformation. It also plays a pivotal role in establishing a green energy support system aligned with the Shijiazhuang International Inland Port, promoting coordinated development between port infrastructure and energy systems.

    The project covers approximately 43 mu of land and includes a 220kV booster station along with a full suite of auxiliary energy storage facilities. It integrates multiple functions such as peak shaving and valley filling, frequency and voltage regulation, backup capacity support, and renewable energy integration. Upon commissioning, it will serve as both a “grid stabilizer” and a “green energy reservoir” for the central-southern Hebei region.


    As a flagship project within Hebei’s energy storage development strategy, it effectively addresses regional grid flexibility constraints and renewable energy curtailment challenges. With millisecond-level response capability and all-weather high-efficiency regulation performance, the project will significantly enhance grid flexibility and resilience, enabling large-scale integration of wind and solar power. It will also serve as a model for coordinated, high-quality development of energy storage and renewables, laying a solid foundation for optimizing the regional energy structure.

    It overcomes the traditional limitations of low-voltage systems in terms of capacity, efficiency, safety, and adaptability, achieving comprehensive breakthroughs in operational efficiency, intrinsic safety, cost-effectiveness, and flexible deployment.

    Compared with conventional solutions, the system offers key advantages including: elimination of transformer losses, direct high-voltage grid connection, high efficiency and operational stability, reduced footprint, lower operation and maintenance costs
